Starting with Volkl’s classic construction featuring a multilayer wood core and a Titanal Frame, The Kenja 88 draws its power and smoothness from two laminates of laying on top of and underneath the wood. The laminate on the bottom comes in the form of a full sheet which offers tremendous stability, while the frame of Titanal laying over the core allows the ski to flex naturally while providing a lot of torsional stiffness and driving power into the edges of the ski for those deep trenching arcs on firm snow. At 88 millimeters under the boot, you get premium on-trail performance with a little bit of versatility and forgiveness when things get a bit soft or variable. A subtle tip and tail rocker profile in the Kenja 88 give it the necessary float and maneuverability for skiing any sort of off piste terrain as long as you’re not in chest deep powder.
