2026 Elan Ripstick 102 Skis
The 2026 Elan Ripstick 102 is an incredibly versatile all-mountain freride ski that is suited for both on and off trail adventuring. Taking inspiration from the previous Ripstick 106, the 102 has a wide and spoonie shovel that excels in floating over soft snow. The supple flex pattern takes a slight hit to its carving performance while it more than makes up for it in soft snow performance and fun-having nature.
Why we like it:
Unparalleled intuitiveness and ease of use, this ski is an amazing tool for such a broad range of skier types and abilities.
Who it's for:
Intermediate to expert level skiers will find this to be a versatile tool for exploring what the mountain has to offer, especially when there is soft snow to be found.
Highlights:
Amphibio Rocker assists with smooth transitioning from edge to edge while the Tubelite Woodcore, Carbon Rods, and UD Fiber laminates keep the weight to a minimum, so you can charge all day long, while bolstering stability and reactiveness.
Things to consider:
Heavier, more aggressive skiers may find the Ripstick 102 a bit supple in longitudinal flex, where lighter skiers have not found this to be as much of an issue. There is a good deal of torsional stiffness here but extremely firm snow, especially when ungroomed, is not these skis happy place.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Skis true to size. More aggressive and heavier skiers should seriously consider sizing up or going with the Ripstick 102 Black Edition.
